I’m thrilled to announce that Villanova Theatre has asked me to pen an adaptation/update/translation of EVERYMAN for their 2013/2014 season, and that it will be running November 12 – 24. Swing by on the night of the 21st to watch me awkwardly answer audience questions about the play after the show. (Tickets here.)
It’s a humbling sort of thing having graduated from Villanova and then being asked to write for their stage. It’s a show of support and rather gracious on their part, and there’s no one else I’d rather have put up my first production than my alma mater. David Cregan is directing and as further details emerge, I’ll post updates.
Cue the cheesy “Everyman must see this show” lines.
No, actually, don’t say that.
Just, you know. Do it.
Stay tuned! Coming up next, a ponderous little article about translating a play that was written in English, albeit around half a millennium ago.
